What are HPL panels?

HPL stands for High Pressure Laminate, a highly compressed and laminated material used in high-traffic areas. These decorative high-pressure laminates (HPL) are thermosetting resin-based panels (laminates) made up of the following elements: paper derived from fresh and recycled cellulose fibre, phenolic resin, melamine resin, ornamental paper, and protective film. Our HPL terrace boards have a high-quality surface made of ornamental paper with a non-slip and scratch-resistant protective coating in a honeycomb structure.

What is important when installing HPL decking?

Planeo decorative HPL planks with flat construction work well on old patio tiles. The joints used for laying are 4 mm. Because the material is extremely hard and durable, it can be sawn, drilled, or machined. A slope is not required for HPL decking boards. The water just drains off through the joints or, in heavy rain, around the borders. Avoid laying the HPL planks in hot, damp, or icy weather.
